Description
Long ago, a mysterious alchemist found himself locked in a faraway dungeon.
In that terrible dungeon, many creatures tried to kill him. fortunately the legend has it that he survived.
Now it's your turn to be trapped in this terrible dungeon.
Will you be able to accomplish the same feat as the mysterious man and become part of the legend in your own time?
PS : Luckily before entering the dungeon you found a manuscript, the manuscript of the mysterious alchemist. Here's what it says in it.
Instructions
Movements
You can move around the dungeon with [Z][Q][S][D], [LSHIFT] for running and jump with [SPACE].
Interactions
The [E] key will be very useful for interacting with your environment.
Potions
Once in the dungeon, you will face ruthless enemies. Your only means of defence will be the various potions you can find while exploring the place.
Luckily, there are 4 types of primary potions :
- The fire
- The earth
- The lightning
- The wind
Each primary potion that you can find can be mixed with another and thus create a more powerful potion.
By merging two potions, you get a new potion but lose the old ones.
To help you the mysterious alchemist has left a note in the book with all the potion recipes.

Rooms
The dungeon has many rooms all full of surprises.
Use the minimap to orient yourself.

Enemy:
These rooms are dangerous, so don't venture into them unprepared. You will find all kinds of terrible enemies.
Peaceful:
Luckily, the dungeon also has quiet rooms that are safe. Enjoy this rest !
WorkBench:
One of the most important rooms, you'll find a place to fuse your potions.
Heal:
In case of minor health problems do not hesitate to interact with the potion on the table, it will give you the strength to face the future.
But be careful, you can only use the potion once per room, use it only when necessary.
Enemies
Are you ready to discover the enemies that inhabit this place.
Slimes:
Simple, but watch their jump.
Spiders:
They'll track and don't let go until you get rid of them.
Dragons:
They look so sweet, but be careful. Their jet of flame will burn your body.
It is highly probable that since its passage in such ancient times new creatures have appeared. Be on your guard!

The bosses are the most terrible creatures in this dungeon, but there's an easy way to deal with it, all you have to do is simply...

A downloadable game for Windows
A star has gone missing from the sky! To retrieve it, a young adventurer sets out to traverse the forsaken dungeons of the Alchemist's Mountain.
Alchemist Mountain is a fusion of old school Zelda dungeons with platforming mechanics.
It began as an entry for Metroidvania Jam 2. It was lucky enough to win first place!
A new demo version was released Sept 2019 and is still playable. But the game has since undergone revision and the demo does not represent the current game.

I didn't find out how to find the Kindle or make it so I ended up going back to the beginning everytime my energy ran out.
Oh dear lol. Uhm - you just have to reach the next fire for it not to do so.
Im about to try your game, which I actually purchased weeks ago, but didnt have time to try out yet. I noticed one thing that's a little confusing, which is the download getting updated frequently, but no information or version numbers that make it easier to identify what one has is actually updated or not, other than to see recent uploads. Any chance of adding version numbers in file names when you upload updates? Makes it easier to identify, especially at times when your looking at the screen, and wondering what on earth did I just upload, which tends to happen often when you have sleepless nights coding your game, at least for many that happens lol. Game looks great non the less.

I should certainly start adding version numbers. If you were wondering, at the moment only the Demo version gets updates, I am highly unlikely to update the game jam version as the project has progressed well beyond it.

Great game ! Though midway through the horde boss battle, enemies stopped spawning so now I'm stuck in an empty room until the end of the day ; and the room is empty yet again when I attempt the next day.
Haven't tried restarting the game yet, but even if it fixes it, this is important to report o:

This happen again if I fail at beating the boss, it seems the game don't make spawn monsters that I already killed even though the health bar is max out again.
Thanks for reporting that. That boss really does seem to give me a lot of trouble fixing lol. The new improved demo will be out soon. Hope you will enjoy that.
I thought it was a pretty unique way to do a metroidvania! The art was cute, and the resource management aspect was also cool.

I liked the girlyness of the video. But then the respawning enemies just kind of killed it for me. I'm fine with enemies respawning when you leave a room, but in the video it just looked like enemies would spontaneously spawn on me...very jarring.
Hey there M1sty. I can assure you that to the best of my knowledge the enemies do not spontaneously respawn on top of the player lol. That would be a very interesting game design or a very serious bug that I've missed.
( I am not sure which part of the video you are referring to though. )

Ah yes! That was a bug for the enemies to respawn if they moved a certain distance from player. I think I fixed it. Or will be fixed in the future (have to sort out the pipeline of game productions, currently focused on Little Lost Robots' full release).
It happens very rarely though and hopefully won't ruin the experience. Thanks for showing me where you saw it!
