Great news! This game is already available in the Porting Kit. Porting Kit is the new application which 'ports' the game to your Mac. The video and download links in the slider are outdated and won't work on OS X 10.11+. To fix/update it, install the game with the Porting Kit visit its page here. Or use the crosstie with the Crossover application.

Important note:
To fix the little shadow glitches in the landscape, turn in the in-game video settings 'landscape' to low! Also the game may crash when you have everything in the video settings on high, (i think its in the highest setting of Anti Aliasing), so set all on midium and set it to the native screen resolution. Dont walk alone (gameheads) mac os.

If you don't own the game yet, I strongly advise you to buy Battlefield 2 Complete Collection on Gamersgate. When it has no pricing, go to Gamersgate.co.uk I tested those versions of the game in the Wrapper and that one works for me.

Use this CrossTie to install the game in Crossover and start the fun! Make sure Crossover is installed before downloading/running the CrossTie.

Yo, I bought this game on Steam because I remember this game from Xblig. I was a developer for that platform and it was kind of nostalgic to go back to this game after testing it years ago. It's nice to see this game after so many years.

Hello there, I just bought the game for Mac (I'm using Mac OS Mojave 10.14.1) and I can't launch it. Each time I tried to play the game, it crashes before even opening any window or any process. Is there a way to fix this?

Is there a way to set the second player's controls on keyboard as well?
I tried to map buttons through VJoy, but the game doesn't seem to be compatible with it, and that 'XBOX360 To Keyboard' patch that works for Street Fighter IV also doesn't have any effect.
I ask this because I'd buy it if there was a way to set both players' controls on keyboard.

Does the game read that XBOX360 controller by itself instead of Xbox360 to Keyboard? Let me know and I'll try and look into it before I upload version 1.4.0.2 here.

I tested the demo. I don't have any controllers and that's why I tried to use a modified xinput1_3.dll and x360kb.ini to set a virtual XBOX360 gamepad, but the game didn't recognize it, unlike SFIV and a few other fighting games. And it also didn't recognize VJoy which works in most cases. So basically, I can only set P1 on keyoboard.

Hey, I just saw your message. I'm sorry about this. You're using Ubuntu still, correct? If so, it may be related to that as I know Unity3D games sometime have UI masking issues on Linux. I'll look into remedying this in a future build. Again, sorry!

As for the background, I'm aware. I was excited to get 3D backgrounds working at all, but didn't take the important time to polish them and make them more cohesive with the rest of the game. This is something I'd like to fix in the future but am unsure if / when I'll be able to.
